We are seeking a full-time remote Lead Systems Architect to support our General Services Administration (GSA) Contract Team. This role will lead technical efforts to modernize data analytics and business intelligence (BI) capabilities for data scientists, business users, and external customers across many domains. The work aims to modernize legacy systems, provide shared services, and help implement GSA’s plans in support of the Federal Data Strategy for several mission critical systems.

GSA IT supports GSA organizations and customers through developing, deploying, and maintaining best value, innovative, effective, accurate, and timely IT solutions through collaborative relationships between national and regional offices, and data and information made available to internal and external stakeholders.

• Work with agency leadership and other stakeholders to facilitate architectural vision, strategy, governance, and roadmap for legacy modernization and maintenance of data analytics systems.
• Oversee and implement the enterprise architecture and systems engineering lifecycles for several systems, including requirements, analysis, design, and feasibility.
• Ensure SDLC and Federal Data Lifecycle tasks and deliverables are completed in accordance with quality, time, budget, and other constraints.
• Manage teammates to ensure analytics capabilities and user experience are maintained and enhanced in a collaborative, systematic, and Agile manner.
• Interface with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, operations, and security teams to maintain and enhance analytics and BI user experiences.

• Public Trust eligibility.
• Ten (10) years of progressively difficult experience in systems analysis and programming. Six (6) years of experience being responsible for a databases and environments, and for the logical and physical database design aspects.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Expertise in Oracle (OBIEE), SAP Business Objects and Data Services, PostgreSQL, MicroStrategy, or IBM environments.
• Subject matter expertise with logical data warehouse and database design, operation, and optimization to include Extract, Transfer, Load (ETL), API management, and database administration.
• Knowledge and experience working on DevOps teams.
• Knowledge of Federal Data Lifecycle, NIST Big Data Reference Architecture, or other data focused standards.
• Experience working on CMMI Level 3 or ISO 9001 compliant projects.
• Experience working on projects to consolidate contracts or environments as part of a larger strategy.
• Experience working within TOGAF, Zachmann, FEAF, or other architectural certifications and frameworks preferred.
• Experience working within GSA preferred.
