Overview

Highlight is seeking a highly qualified project professional to support their Health and Human Services portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess thorough knowledge of Project Management/Administrative best practices as well as experience with the Microsoft Office suite. The position requires the application of extensive experience and seasoned judgment together with a broad knowledge and understanding of business systems, elements of good management, organization and management. Requires knowledge and skill in analysis, evaluation and problem solving to identify and define problems and assist in the development of workable solution.

 

This is a partial remote, partial on-site role. Candidate will be required to attend on-site meetings as needed in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently to support a portfolio of HHS projects.
  • Responsible for overall staffing for portfolio of projects; developing job requirements, interviewing, and making final staffing selections.
  • Responsible for personnel management for portfolio of projects; supporting HR requests, providing feedback and oversight, and engagement with professional development and growth.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and other reports.
  • Organize, attend and participate in stakeholder meetings.
  • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
  • Undertake project tasks as required.
  • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Public Trust Eligibility.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience managing Federal contracts, preferably within HHS.
  • Associates degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
