Overview

We are looking for a Data Analyst with Grants experience to support the Small Business Administration (SBA) in Washington, DC. You will provide assistance to the managers and analysts in the Office of International Trade (OIT) in the administration of the reimbursements associated with the grants program.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct grants reviews and extensive risk analysis.
  • Provide assistance to the managers and analysts in the Office of International Trade (OIT) in the administration of the reimbursements associated with the grants program.
  • Generate reports on a regular basis to include grantee quarterly performance reports to populate various spreadsheets associated with program and financial management and in-depth analysis (data analytics/graphs).
  • Recommend procedural and policy changes and enhancements.
  • Assist with the program oversights and administers financial management control systems and processes to ensure grantee compliance with established Agency policy and procedures.
  • Maintain, update, and electronically file current application and program documents for review and audit purposes.
  • Apply the requirements of each Notice of Funding Opportunity to the corresponding year of each grant cycle.

Qualifications

  • Public Trust eligibility.
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • 7+ years of experience.
  • MUST have experience with data analytics.
  • MUST have grants experience.
  • MUST have Excel skills (functions/data sets) as well as Access database skills.
  • Ability to write clearly and succinctly to be able to explain and support conclusions and recommendations as these relate to various staff assignments.
  • Knowledge of the software tools used to generate database applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in order to prepare grant documents and to provide effective written guidance and recommendations.
