Highlight is seeking a telework-optional Marketing Manager to support our Headquarters in Fairfax, VA. You will be responsible for designing, creating, and delivering marketing programs to support the company's growth as we transition from a small to a mid-size government contractor.


This role is telework until further notice and has the option for in-office attendance post COVID-19.


Marketing Planning and Implementation

  • Work with corporate leadership to craft marketing campaigns that align with business objectives
  • Maintain awareness of competitors, customers, and trends and practices for marketing in the federal contracting environment
  • Implement multi-modal marketing campaigns to help achieve brand awareness among target markets. This may include a combination of digital and print media, social media, events, promotional materials, and other methods
  • Manage campaigns within approved budgets
  • Measure and report on results of campaigns and recommend adjustments

Marketing Content Development

  • Work with leadership to understand the value propositions, messaging, and differentiators relative to competitors
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for raw content such as case studies and reviews of draft products
  • Craft compelling content appropriate for each modality – flyers, website, video, audio, etc.
  • Maintain and update existing marketing products (flyers, capability briefings, etc.)
  • Use tools such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Office 365
  • Work with outside vendors to produce materials as appropriate

Social Media Support

  • Develop monthly publication schedule inclusive of approved marketing campaigns
  • Develop content for social media
  • Post to multiple platforms using tools such Hootsuite

General Corporate Communications

  • Oversee content of external website, working with IT resources
  • Draft and process press releases, and serve as media point of contact
  • Design internal office branding such as wall art and signage
  • Maintain marketing repository with resources (i.e., flyers, templates) to be used by business development staff and other employees
  • Serve as branding resource to corporate departments as needed
  • Maintain and enforce use of branding and style guidelines


  • 3-5 years of experience doing similar marketing in the professional services sector, preferably within the GovCon sector
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sales, Business or related field
  • Experience working with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, HootSuite, and SharePoint
  • Strong visual design and creative abilities
  • Good English writing and attention to detail
