Overview

You will join a team which is responsible for ensuring the Department of State's IT programs and system capabilities are in place to meet vital Diplomatic and National Security needs.  You will help the State Department meet its mission to lead “America’s foreign policy through diplomacy, advocacy, and assistance by advancing the interests of the American people, their safety and economic prosperity.”

 

To do this, we need highly skilled professionals with a history of successfully supporting IT systems and platforms to meet missions of national importance.  You will efficiently and effectively deliver support to ensure the welfare and protection of U.S. citizens abroad, for the issuance of passports and other documentation to citizens and nationals, and for the protection of U.S. border security and the facilitation of legitimate travel to the United States.

 

As an DR Network Engineer/Architect, you will be focused on the networks you will oversee and on reviewing the testing and implementation of planning to ensure that the integrity and security of all electronic data and data systems are adequately protected.  This work includes developing and maintain the requirements and operations to support the DR program to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs. You will assist in the development and implementation of the client’s networks to support disaster recovery operation at HQ and other offices.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the preparation of an organization-wide business resumption plan.
  • Assists in the coordination and establishment of disaster recovery programs and business resumption planning across all enterprise platforms.
  • Coordinates and monitors simulation testing across all networks and platforms.
  • With a focus on networks, you will support the design and administration of the DR programs to include policies, standards, guidelines, training programs, as well as a viable quality assurance process for disaster recovery.

Qualifications

  • Current Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with multiple groups and organizations.
