    Highlight is seeking an IT Security Specialist to support FDIC in Arlington, VA. With direction, you will participate in the analysis, implementation, and evaluation of current and proposed security initiatives and needs. This includes Access Control activities such as maintaining and monitoring user access, performing monthly reviews, monitoring access to the Network, reviewing audit activities, performing monthly reviews and annual user reviews on applications, IT Resources and Outsourced Contractor Services. This position could have access to personally identifiable information (PII) and will have access to sensitive information (SI).


    • Monitor network activity.
    • Access Control activities.
    • Maintain and monitor user access.
    • Performing monthly/annual Reviews.
    • Review audit activities.
    • Confer with users to determine problems, resolutions, and requirements.
    • Gather facts, analyze data, and prepare a synopsis comparing alternatives in terms of cost, time, availability of tools and personnel, and recommends a course of action.


    • U.S. Citizenship.
    • Public Trust eligibility.
    • At least one (1) year related work experience in the IT Security Field in supporting the development, maintenance, and retirement of applications, IT Resources and Outsourced Services.
    • Demonstrated experience in technical writing or editing.
    • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
