    How would you like to support a division within the Federal Government whose mission is to find and help people seeking asylum around the world? Highlight is seeking a Front-End Developer in Washington, D.C. As a Front-End Developer, you will work closely with a team of variety skills to develop solutions that will enhance and improve how front-end applications are used, such as the ability to manage tasks, document management, and automating email notifications. Also, being part of the new innovative division, you will get the opportunity to work on many platforms and expand your profile, such as Tableau, Python, Ruby on Rails.  This position requires problem solving and someone who is willing to assist users with a variety of skill-sets.     • Working on projects to develop solutions leveraging front-end applications to address customer needs.
    • Resolve front-end application issues by working directly with customers.
    • Educate customers on front-end application best practices.
    • With your team, facilitate front-end application training sessions.
    • Actively seek innovative solutions for the customer and or the team.


    • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
    • Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust. Secret clearance preferred. 
    • Proficient with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery and modern web technologies.
    • Experience in design and development of web applications using at least one of the following: Bootstrap, AngularJS, KendoUI, ASP.NET.
    • Perform CRUD operations using SharePoint REST API.
    • Experience with SharePoint Designer.
    • Experience developing custom forms using InfoPath.
    • Customer service experience working directly with clients to resolve issues.
    • Exceptionally strong ability to work in a collaborative team environment and to work effectively with a team.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand a customer’s needs and translate their requirements into technical requirements and solutions.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with .NET, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, Tableau or Visual Studio.
    • Knowledge or some experience with Agile/SCRUM.
    • Knowledge or some experience creating prototypes, either basic wireframes or functional using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery.
